Creating DIY pumpkin votive candle holders is a delightful way to bring warmth and magic to your fall table settings this Halloween and Thanksgiving. These charming decorations create a cozy, inviting glow, perfect for creating a festive ambiance for your gatherings. With just a few simple materials and steps, you can transform ordinary pumpkins into stunning centerpieces that radiate a welcoming light, and leave a lasting impression on your guests. Plus, the whole project takes less than 20 minutes to make!

Supplies:

  • Tea lights or taper candles

  • Small pumpkins

  • A carving knife

  • A pencil

How to Make Pumpkin Candle Holders:

  1. Use a pencil to trace the outline of a tea light (or taper candle) on the top of each pumpkin. This will serve as your stencil for carving.

  2. Cut along the pencil outline of the circle using a sharp knife and remove the stem.

  3. Place the tea light or taper candle in the hole.

  4. Create a table vignette with other pumpkins, fall fruit such as apples and persimmons, or autumn foliage.

Pro tip: Make these candle holders close-ish to your event date, and refrigerate them after so they last longer!
